Five major contractors on Wednesday inked contracts with the State Railway of Thailand for the construction of two new double-track railway line from Den Chai to Chiang Rai and Chiang Khong and from Baan Pai (Khon Kaen) to Mahasarakham, Roi Et, Mukdahan, and Nakhon Phanom, totaling THB128,236 million. The details of signing of all construction contracts are as follows:
ITD-NWR Joint Venture, consisting of Italian-Thai Development Public Company Limited (SET: ITD) and Nawarat Patanakarn Public Company Limited (SET: NWR), has been awarded the construction of Den Chai-Chiang Rai-Chiang Khong Railway, Contract 1, Den Chai-Ngao Section, for a total value of THB26,560 million (VAT included). The project includes the construction of a 103-kilometer-long railroad, a ground railway station and stop sign, a railway tunnel and related works inside the tunnel, as well as the installation of signal and telecommunication equipment along the route.
CKST-DC 2 Joint Venture, consisting of Ch. Karnchang Public Company Limited (SET: CK), Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Public Company Limited (SET: STEC) and Buriram Panasit Company Limited, has been awarded the construction of Den Chai-Chiang Rai-Chiang Khong Railway, Contract 2, Ngao-Chiang Rai Section, for a total value of THB26,890 million (VAT included). The work consists of the construction of a total 132-kilometer-long ground-level railway and elevated railway, a ground railway station and stop sign, a railway tunnel and related works inside the tunnel, as well as the installation of signal and telecommunication equipment along the route.
CKST-DC 3 Joint Venture, consisting of Ch. Karnchang Public Company Limited (SET: CK), Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Public Company Limited (SET: STEC) and Chiang Mai Construction Company Limited, has been awarded the construction of Den Chai-Chiang Rai-Chiang Khong Railway, Contract 3, Chiang Rai-Chiang Khong Section, for a total value of THB27,095 million (VAT included). The work consists of the construction of a total 87-kilometer-long ground-level railway and elevated railway, a ground railway station and stop sign, a railway tunnel and related works inside the tunnel, as well as the installation of signal and telecommunication equipment along the route.
AS-CHO Thavee and Associates Consortium, consisting of A.S. Associated Engineering (1964) Co.,Ltd., Ch. Thavee Construction Co., Ltd., TBTC Joint Venture Co., Ltd., Sermsanguan Construction Co., Ltd., and K.S. Joint Venture Co., Ltd., has been awarded the construction of Baan Pai (Khon Kaen)-Mahasarakham-Roi Et-Mukdahan-Nakhon Phanom, Contract 1, Baan Pai-Nong Phok Section, for a total value of THB19,385 million (VAT included). The work consists of the construction of a total 180-kilometer-long ground-level railway and elevated railway, a ground railway station and stop sign, and the installation of signal and telecommunication equipment along the route.
UNIQ Consortium, consisting of Unique Engineering and Construction Public Company Limited (SET: UNIQ), P.CET Co., Ltd., Thaipicon and Industry Co., Ltd., and Watcharakajorn Co., Ltd., has been awarded the construction of Baan Pai (Khon Kaen)-Mahasarakham-Roi Et-Mukdahan-Nakhon Phanom, Contract 2, Nong Phok-Thai–Lao Friendship Bridge Section, for a total value of THB28,306 million (VAT included). The work consists of the construction of a total 175-kilometer-long ground-level railway and elevated railway, a ground railway station and stop sign, and the installation of signal and telecommunication equipment along the route.
