U.S. reported record number of new COVID cases on Monday marking over one million new infections.
According to the data of the Johns Hopkins University, a total for 1,082,549 new coronavirus cases were reported as Omicron spreads through the entire country.
The new daily number brings total number of confirmed cases in the U.S. since the start of the pandemic to 56,189,547 with 827,748 deaths across the country.
