Japan is reportedly considering waiving tourist visa requirements from some countries as part of a further relaxing of Covid-19 border restrictions, Fuji News Network reported on Monday.
According to FNN, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida may decide on the loosening as soon as this week, which would also allow individual tourists to enter Japan without using travel agencies.
Before the epidemic, Japan waived visa requirements for visitors to 68 different countries and regions.
In addition to this, the Nikkei newspaper reported on Sunday that the Japanese government is also considering removing a daily quota on arrivals by October.
