Krungsri Securities (KSS) expected Thailand’s SET Index to move within the range of 1,410-1,425 points. The analyst stated that even with a positive sentiment from regional markets this morning, the uncertainty in the direction of US Federal Reserve’s rate cuts pressured the market as funds were flowing out. The US CPI data scheduled to be released today would also pressure the market to be volatile. Thus, the analyst recommended a “Selective Buy” for investors on stocks with positive catalysts.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Wednesday approved the creation of bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the U.S., a long-awaited move that will give regular investors access to indirectly invest in the cryptocurrency.
The newly approved ETFs will start trading tomorrow.
”While we approved the listing and trading of certain spot bitcoin ETP shares today, we did not approve or endorse bitcoin,” said SEC Chair Gary Gensler.
