Toyota Motor Output Falls by 11% August for 7 Consecutive Months

In August, Toyota saw its global motor department output drop by 11%, marking it the seventh consecutive month that the output has dropped.

The decline was largely attributed to a typhoon, a scandal involving the certification of its car model, and the halting of two sport utility vehicle productions in the U.S.

Cars production for August tumbled to 709,571 vehicles with its home country’s production knocked by 22%.
