Thai Infra-Tech Stocks Surge amid Reports on Nvidia’s Potential Investment in Thailand

On Thursday at 10:22 AM (Bangkok time), the share price of WHA Corporation Public Company Limited (SET: WHA) rose by 3.54% or THB 0.20 to THB 5.85, with a trading value of THB 238.35 million.

Infraset Public Company Limited (SET: INSET) jumped by 5.48% or THB 0.16 to THB 3.08, with a trading value of THB 82.25 million.

Light Up Total Solution Public Company Limited (mai: LTS) increased by 5.83% or THB 0.60 to THB 10.90, with a trading value of THB 12.45 million.

 

Following the report that Nvidia Corporation is poised to announce its investment plans for Thailand, joining industry giants Alphabet Inc. and Microsoft Corp., as Southeast Asia emerges as a pivotal region for establishing AI data centers and producing the necessary components to power them, Thailand’s Commerce Minister Pichai Naripthaphan stated that the U.S.-based chip design company will make its investment announcement during CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to Bangkok in December.

 

Krungsri Securities (KSS) remarked that the investment outlook has instilled positive confidence among investors looking to venture into infrastructure technology businesses and expanding data centers in Thailand over the next 4-5 years.

The analyst recommended keeping a close watch on NVIDIA’s investment plans for further clarity. In essence, this development has boosted investor sentiment towards stocks associated with infrastructure technology, such as WHA, INSET, and LTS.
