Shares of JAS and MONO Surge after Reports on ‘English Premier League’ Rights Acquisition

On Tuesday at 10:03 AM (Bangkok time), the share price of Jasmine International Public Company Limited (SET: JAS) soared by 7.56% or THB 0.18 to THB 2.56, with a trading value of THB 158.85 million.

Mono Next Public Company Limited (SET: MONO) surged by 5.11% or THB 0.09 to THB 1.85, with a trading value of THB 30.92 million.

The rise in share prices of JAS and MONO came after JAS announced its exclusive broadcasting rights for the English Premier League across Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos, beginning next season. Under this deal, JAS will have exclusive rights for Premier League streaming, including live broadcasts, replays, and highlights.

This agreement stirs excitement for the industry and the football fans, as JAS successfully acquired broadcasting rights for the “Premier League,” the world’s most popular football league. JAS also partners with the MONO Group—including MONOMAX and MONO29—joining as key strategic partners for marketing and distribution, reinforcing its commitment to bring high-quality content to over 25 million households in three countries. It aims to reach 3 million subscribers in the first year, out of a combined population of 96 million.

This initiative marks an important milestone for both JAS and MONO, leveraging their expertise and long-standing experience to expand in the content industry. With financial readiness from the recent sale of 3BB, this strategic move enables JAS to diversify its investment portfolio, encompassing content business, technology business led by JTS, and telecommunications led by JASTEL.
