Thai Car Production Sees 28% Drop in November amid Sluggish Sales and Export Weakness

Thai automotive production took a hit in November, declining by 28.23% year-on-year to 117,251 vehicles, as indicated by the Federation of Thai Industries on Tuesday. This continues the downward trend following a 25.13% decrease in October, marking the 16th consecutive month of reduced output.

Serving as Southeast Asia’s largest automobile manufacturing hub, Thailand remains a pivotal export base for major global carmakers like Toyota and Honda. Despite its prominence, the nation’s car production continues to grapple with weakened domestic sales and export challenges.
