Fraser and Neave (F&N) declared on December 24 that its longstanding chairman, Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, will retire on January 16, 2025, after the conclusion of the company’s 126th Annual General Meeting. Charoen, the founder of Thai Beverage and currently 80 years old, will assume the honorary title of chairman emeritus following his retirement.
The board’s leadership will transition to Koh Poh Tiong, who has served as a non-independent and non-executive director and board adviser since April 3, 2013. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, the CEO of Thai Beverage, has been designated as the upcoming vice-chairman of the board.
The announcement also includes the retirement of Charles Mak Ming Ying, an independent and non-executive director, marking another significant change in F&N’s board composition.
