Mr Viroje Vasusuttikulkant, CEO of Saintmed Public Company Limited (mai: SMD100), announced that the company has been trusted by Samut Prakan province to procure 1,000 automatic positive pressure ventilators, worth THB 18 million, to support treatment for patients with snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) at Bangplee Hospital, Samut Prakan province. This health problem has affected patient’s daily activity and increased the risk of serious diseases occurring, such as heart and blood vessel disease.
Besides meeting international standards, these ventilators are easy to use, highly effective, and suitable for patients who require specific treatment. Moreover, the patient can use the rights of the Social Security Office (SSO) and National Health Security Office (NHSO) to claim diagnostic examination and respiratory equipment costs according to the criteria.
Mr Viroje stated “With more than 25 years of experience in the medical equipment industry, the company remains committed to supporting the country’s public health system by bringing quality products and comprehensive services from the delivery, training, to after-sales care. This is to ensure that the equipment can fully enhance the treatment quality.”
Meanwhile, during the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders No. 1/2025 on 8 January 2025, the company’s name and logo were approved to change to SMD Rise Public Company Limited. This change will take effect after receiving approval from the Department of Business Development and The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET).
This name change also reflects the significant development to “the creation of a new dimension of healthcare service empire”. The company aims to improve healthcare service systems that are not limited to traditional hospital frameworks, focusing on using innovation and modern technology to increase access to services and improve the quality of patient life.
Furthermore, the company also focuses on improving its business structure to move towards a new model that meets the needs of the future healthcare market, such as providing medical services that highlight convenience and comprehensive, using digital technology and innovation, and creating a new dimension of healthcare service empire that everyone can access under the vision “delivering specific innovative specialized medical services and valuable technologies to Thai society.
