Soraj Asavaprapha, acting CEO of Jasmine International Public Company Limited (SET: JAS), revealed that on 30 January 2025, the company officially signed a contract through an online meeting with the Football Association Premier League Limited (Premier League) for the full broadcasting rights of the Premier League, and FA Cup football league.
The broadcasts will include live broadcasts, re-runs, and highlights of the leagues, for the period of six seasons (2025/26-2030/31) in three countries including Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos. JAS’s shareholders approved the deal on 23 January 2025.
JAS expects three million subscriptions in the first year of broadcasting, with revenue estimated to exceed THB 10,000 million. The 2025/26 season will begin a nationwide broadcast on 16 August 2025 through the streaming platform Monomax.
Soraj remarked that the transaction for Premier League and the FA Cup broadcasting rights will greatly benefit businesses in internet television and content procurement sectors, propelling JAS into the leading position, while also increasing the value of the business groups.
Furthermore, with the collaboration with Monomax, the company did not need to invest in the streaming platform and other systems related to the broadcasting of the football leagues, and the company has assessed that such collaboration is appropriate and justified.
Thus MONO Streaming will provide a platform necessary for the broadcast of Premier League and FA Cup, which covers all broadcasting channels, platforms, devices, and viewing channels. JAS has agreed to pay MONO Streaming with no more than THB 5,400 million, with a six-year contract, and the company has a right to extend the contract by one year on each renegotiation, under the same conditions and terms, with JAS having to notify in writing to MONO Streaming in advance.
For MONO29 and MONOMAX’s growth under the operation of Mono Next Public Company Limited (SET: MONO), the streaming platforms aim to be the leader of Thailand streaming and TV, targeting up to three million subscriptions. This could provide sustainable growth to the Thailand entertainment industry and reinforce the company’s strength in global standards with foreign entertainment under less than THB 400 per month.
Koraphat Vorachet, assisting Managing Director and Division Head of Research at Krungsri Securities, has a positive prospect for JAS and MONO stocks with Premier League and FA Cup broadcasts, although the securities need to observe whether the companies would be able to archive its three million subscribers or not.
Bualuang Securities analysts estimated that after JAS began its first year in the Premier League and reached three million subscribers, the company would have an annual revenue growth of THB 14 billion, compared to 2024’s revenue of THB 4 billion.
Meanwhile, annual profit would grow to THB 2 billion, compared to the current THB 1 billion annual growth, while the JAS share price, calculated from the broadcasting’s profit, will increase by THB 3 per share.
Lastly, Kasikorn Securities upgraded the JAS target price by 25% from THB 2.01 to THB 2.52.
