Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has confirmed that the United States has agreed to commence ministerial-level negotiations with Thailand on April 23. The Thai delegation will be led by Deputy Prime Minister Pichai Chunhavajira, who also serves as the Minister of Finance.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the proposals Thailand has prepared will lead to fruitful discussions with the US, achieving mutually beneficial outcomes in a win-win manner.
“We have prepared robust proposals, encompassing diverse product offerings beyond just agricultural goods. We also aim to encourage capable Thai companies to expand their investments in the US. Coming from a business background myself, I am confident in understanding President Trump’s mindset, which will facilitate our negotiations,” stated Prime Minister Paetongtarn.
