Mr. Kerati Kijmanawat, Director of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (SET: AOT), has revealed the air traffic volume during the Songkran festival from 11 to 17 April 2025.
During that period, the six AOT’s airports have provided service to 2.6 million passengers, a 4.3% increase YoY, with 1.6 million of them being international passengers while the remaining 1 million are domestic passengers, a rise of 3.1% and 6.2%, respectively.
As for the flight volume, the figure has increased by 7.6% from the same period last year to 16,064 flights. Among them are 8,752 international flights and 7,312 domestic flights, an increase of 5.4% and 10.3%, respectively.
For more specific detail of each airport, they are as follows:
- Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) had 1.3 million passengers, a 3.6% increase YoY, and saw 7,345 flights in total, a 6.6% increase YoY.
- Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) had 664,470 passengers, a 5% increase YoY, and saw 4,523 flights in total, a 6.2% increase YoY.
- Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX) had 169,690 passengers, a 6.1% increase YoY, and saw 1,277 flights in total, a 12.5% increase YoY.
- Mae Fah Luang – Chiang Rai International Airport (CEI) had 40,340 passengers, a 3.5% increase YoY, and saw 274 flights in total, a 7% increase YoY.
- Phuket International Airport (HKT) had 360,120 passengers, a 4.1% increase YoY, and saw 2,173 flights in total, a 8.2% increase YoY.
- Hat Yai International Airport (HDY) had 67,590 passengers, a 10% increase YoY, and saw 472 flights in total, a 22% increase YoY.
