The government data showed Japan’s unemployment rate dropped to 2.5% in November, while the availability in the job market remained at the highest level since March 2020.
The seasonally adjusted figure in November matched economists’ median forecast in a Reuters poll and also showed a drop from 2.6% in October.
Meanwhile, the jobs-to-applicants ratio remained unchanged at 1.35% from October, according to the data released by the labour ministry.
