Singapore will relax most of its Covid-19 restrictions from March 29, 2022, which will include mask mandates on outdoor activities and social gatherings, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced on Thursday.
Under the new measure, masks will still be required indoors as well as a social distance of 1 meter between groups in mask-off settings. Meanwhile, the limit on social gatherings will increase from five to 10, while large events will be allowed for more participants from the earlier limit of 50% of the fixed seating for the Event Venue.
According to Our World in Data, as of March 21, 2022, 87.2% of the population in Singapore has received two doses of Covid-19 vaccine, and 67.1% of the population has received the booster shot.
The country recorded 10,200 Covid cases on a 7-day average.
