The Oil Fuel Fund board agreed on Monday to raise the diesel price cap to 35 baht per liter, from 34 baht per liter, effective June 14.
Wisak Watanasap, the director of the Oil Fuel Fund Office, stated that the Committee has decided to extend the diesel price ceiling to 35 baht as global crude oil prices remain elevated due to Western sanctions against Russia and China’s reopening of its borders.
On June 12, the Oil Fuel Fund had a loss of 91 billion baht, of which 54 billion baht was attributable from artificial gasoline price caps and 36.5 billion baht was attributable from artificial LPG price caps.
