Russian oil production increased by 3.4% in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period last year, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said. However, natural gas production decreased by 5% in 1H22.
The energy minister added that coal production in the first half of 2022 remained at the same level as in 1H21, while he production of petrol and diesel fuel increased by 4.5%.
At a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the minister noted that the energy sector was able to adjust to difficult economic conditions, saying that the domestic energy market was stable and there were no difficulties with energy supply.
