The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has released its preliminary analysis of the system outage that occurred on Wednesday, resulting in a disruption of more than 11,00 flights. The analysis said that the outage was due to a procedural failure.
“The agency determined that a data file was damaged by personnel who failed to follow procedures. The system is functioning properly and cancellations today were below one percent,” the FAA said on Thursday.
