Singapore has announced that it will now allow non-fully vaccinated travelers to enter the country without the requirement for a pre-departure negative test, starting next week.
The health authorities also said that it will remove the mask mandate on public transport from Monday as the situation in the country remained stable over the recent months, despite increased travel over the year, holidays and China’s shift from zero-Covid policy.
Singapore’s deputy prime minister Lawrence Wong and a co-chair of the Covid task force noted that the population in Singapore has developed a high level of hybrid immunity, while the risk of infection that could lead to severe illness or deaths is very low.
