Thailand’s 4Q24 GDP Growth Falls Short of Expectations at 3.2%

Thailand’s economy expanded by 3.2% in the last quarter of 2024 compared to the same period the previous year, as reported by official figures on Monday. The growth was less than the 3.9% increase expectations anticipated by analysts in a Reuters survey.

In terms of quarter-on-quarter performance, the Thai economy grew by 0.4% on a seasonally adjusted basis from October to December. This figure also lagged behind the market projection, which had estimated a 0.7% growth rate, according to the National Economic and Social Development Council.
