Thailand Slashes Transfer Fees for Property to Propel Market

The Thai cabinet has sanctioned a reduction in fees for property ownership transfers and mortgage registrations, aiming to boost the flagging real estate market, Deputy Finance Minister Paopoom Rojanasakul revealed on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the charges will be slashed to 0.01% for properties that carry a valuation of up to 7 million baht. This measure will be in force until June 2026, following its publication in the Royal Gazette.
