Visa Inc. is launching new consulting and advisory services to make transition for its clients to navigate the world of cryptocurrencies.
The payment processor giant on Wednesday said the crypto advisory practice would be housed within its consulting and analytics division which will offer advice to financial institutions, retailers and other firms as well to roll out features of crypto currencies to non-fungible tokens, according to a report by CNBC.
Visa said American bank UMB its already using its crypto advisory services.
The latest development marks Visa’s attempt to increase exposure to the crypto industry. According to Nikola Plecas, Visa’s European crypto lead, from October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021, the company processed $3.5 billion in digital currency transactions through its crypto linked card schemes, as reported by CNBC.
