Elon Musk is pacing up his disposal of Tesla share by exercising his option, after his last month’s public Twitter poll.
Elon offloaded another 934, 091 shares for about $906.5 million to cover taxes on the exercise of 2.1 million options, according to regulatory filling dated on Monday. He’s sold almost 12 million shares to date being consistent on his Twitter poll pledge to divest 10% of his stake in Tesla. Getting rid of 10% of this stake would total around 17 million shares aside from his exercisable options.
He exercised almost 15 million of options which is worth $12.7 billion worth of stocks.
Earlier this week Musk was named Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year” and has made $98 billion to his fortune in 2021 alone which led to his net worth of $253.6 billon, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
