Domestic smartphone shipment in China recovered from hit during the pandemic, however yet to recover to pre-pandemic level, according to government data as reported by CNBC.
Smartphone industry has come under constrains due to various factors starting global semiconductor shortage to bottle necked supply chains.
Domestic smartphone shipments totaled 342.8 million in 2021, up 15.9% year-on-year, according to data released Tuesday by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT).
However, smartphone shipment figure for 2021 is still below the 371.7 million units shipped in 2019, before the pandemic began.
