The Siam Cement Public Company Limited (SET: SCC) has announced its 2021 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

SCC reported a net profit of 47,173 million baht in 2021, increased 38.16% from a net profit of 34,143 million baht in 2020. The increase was mainly due to higher revenue from sales, especially from the chemical business that saw the highest growth.
In 2021, revenue from sales registered at 530,112 million baht, an increase of 33% YoY due to better performance in all businesses largely attributable to higher Chemicals selling prices and improved sales volumes. EBITDA also increased 23% YoY to 91,867 million baht.
In 2021, Revenue from Sales of cement segment registered at 182,529 million baht or 6% YoY. EBITDA registered at 18,877 million baht, decreased 13% YoY. Normalized EBITDA was 22,706 million baht, a drop of 7% YoY. Profit for the year registered 4,262 million baht or 34% YoY. Normalized profit registered 7,939 million baht, or 9% YoY.
For year 2021, revenue from sales of the chemical segment was 238,390 million baht, increased 62% YoY from higher product prices and sale volumes, and baht depreciation. EBITDA increased 34% YoY to 41,465 million baht due to higher product price spreads, sales volumes, and dividend from associates. Also, EBITDA from operations was 35,104 million baht, increased 32% YoY. Profit for year 2021 was 28,931 million baht, increased 64% YoY from higher product price spreads and equity income from associates.
Packaging business reported FY2021 profit of 8,294 million baht, an increase of 28% YoY. Revenue from Sales registered 124,223 million baht, increased 34% YoY, and EBITDA registered 21,164 million baht, increased 25% YoY. EBITDA margin slightly decreased to 17% for FY2021 compared to 18% for FY2020.
The Board of Directors of SCC has approved a year-end 2021 dividend of 10.0 Bt/sh (79% of H2/21 earnings) that is payable on 26 April 2022. The total FY2021 dividend paid amounts to 18.5 Bt/sh (22,200 million baht), which comprises the H1/21 interim of 8.5 Bt/sh, and the year-end of 10.0 Bt/sh.
