Niwat Adirek, President and CEO of BCPG Public Company Limited (SET: BCPG), disclosed on March 29, 2021, that the company has recently commenced commercial operation of a 25-MW solar power plant in Komagane, Japan. BCPG’s Komagane power project has entered into a 100% power purchase agreement with Chubu Electric Power Company. The Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) rate under such agreement, for 20 years, is 36 Yen/kWh.
“Our total production capacity in Japan is 89.7 MW. The total capacity of COD projects, including the Komagane project, is 59.7 MW. Other solar power projects, with a total production capacity of 30 MW, are still under development and are expected to start COD in the near future”, said Niwat.
