BH Reports a Huge Jump in 1Q22 Earnings from Thailand’s Reopening

Bumrungrad Hospital Public Company Limited (SET: BH) has announced its 1Q22 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

BH reported a net profit of 725 million baht in 1Q22, increased 695% from a net profit of 91 million baht in 1Q21. The company stated that as a result of Thailand’s reopening since 1 November 2021, both Thai and Non-Thai revenue grew substantially year-on-year. The higher contribution of international medical tourism, particularly from the Indochina region and the Middle East, had a significant positive impact on revenue intensity. 

BH reported total revenues in 1Q22 of 4,152 million baht, a 55.0% increase from 2,679 million baht in 1Q21. Net profit margin was at 17.5% in 1Q22, compared to 3.4% in 1Q21.
