In the afternoon session of Monday trading, the share price of Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Plc. (SET: STGT) reportedly increased 3.11% to THB19.90/share, with a total trading value of THB282 million.
Kasikorn Securities (KS) stated in its analysis that the spread of the Monkeypox outbreak in multiple countries has increased the demand for rubber gloves; and hence, equities related to gloves production are expected to benefit from this matter, such as Malaysia’s Top Glove (+3.4% DoD) and Superman (+3% DoD), as well as STGT.
In early morning trade, Malaysian Top Glove climbed more than 5.5%, while Supermax Corp. gained 4.9%, as investors took risks over fears of a global Monkeypox outbreak.
