At the board meeting on October 12, 2022, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) raised the request for merger between TRUE Corporation Public Company Limited (TRUE) and TOTAL Access Communication Public Company Limited (DTAC) to discuss but failed to reach any conclusion. NBTC stated that it will wait for the study from the foreign adviser that NBTC hired, and that discussion about TRUE and DTAC’s merger will be in the next meeting on October 20, 2022.
Meanwhile, the Thailand Consumers Council reaffirmed its point of view on opposing the merger.
