Mr. Surayut Thavikulwat, Chief Financial Officer, BTS Group Holdings Plc. (SET: BTS) said that the business trend for the second half of FY2022-23 should continue to improve, especially MOVE,’ which is its core business.
Number of passengers in the BTS skytrain increased consistently and reached 90% of pre-Covid level, seeing an increase of passengers to 800,000 trips per day since early November, compared to 700,000 trips previously. The increase was mainly due to more people commuting to work as well as rising tourist arrivals.
The CEO expected overall outlook in 2023-24 to continue growing from the recovering of its core business consistently. Moreover, the Pink and Yellow Line rapid rail system will be launched in 2023, creating more routes for the company. The mixed-use projects; Unicorn at Phayathai area will also launch in 2023 as well, which will include renting areas for office, hotel and shops to boost BTS group revenue next year.
