Central Administrative Court of Thailand on November 24, 2022, ordered Bangkok’s governor, Wattana District director, Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand and Ananda MF Asia Asoke Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Thai-listed Ananda Development Public Company Limited (SET: ANAN) to jointly cooperate in solving the issues regarding illegal construction structure.
The Siam Society Under Royal Patronage initially filed a lawsuit against Bangkok’s governor and Wattana District director, claiming unlawful approval for the construction blueprint of Ashton Asoke.
The residential building is now complete and housed nearly 700 rooms full of residents.
The court acknowledged this wrongdoing, but the demolition would cause a wide range of impact on surrounding areas, thus, all parties are ordered to find a resolution to this issue within 180 days.
