Mr. Sithidej Mayalarp, Chief Executive Officer of Sky ICT Public Company Limited (SET: SKY), stated that the company recorded THB1,272 million of revenue for the performance in the first half of 2021 in which THB804 million was from the operation in 2Q22 alone.
Meanwhile, the company’s net profit still recorded a 575% growth at THB165 million compared to the first half of last year. The increase was due to its investment in subsidiaries and other high potential companies that led to strong profit growth for SKY.
The CEO noted that SKY has THB23,000 million worth of backlog at the end of 2Q22 and the recognition in the second half as well as more signings for new projects should strengthen its growth to at least 20%.
In addition, the company expected its performance in the second half of this year to recover gradually following tourism trends after the border reopening, seeing higher tourist arrivals from the report by Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (SET: AOT). Due to this event, SKY will be able to recognize higher revenue through its various projects related to air travelling, including traffic at the airport.
