Sky ICT, Thailand’s leading digital platform and AI-empowered solutions provider, recorded a total revenue of THB1,952 million and a net profit of THB126 million for the first nine months of 2022 (Jan-Sep), thanks to the country’s reopening, which contributed greatly increase passenger traffic in airports.
Mr. Sithidej Mayalarp, chief executive officer of SET-listed Sky ICT Public Company Limited (SKY), stated that the company was able to maintain its outstanding performance as the country reopened the borders, allowing more tourists to return to Thailand, resulting in a 160% increase in earnings for the first nine months.
SKY has a backlog of THB22,800 million as of the third quarter of 2022, from which it expects to collect revenue on a continuing basis.
Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, Mr. Sithidej stated that the outlook remains positive and remains on a continuous growth path. It is expected that during the end-of-year peak season of tourism, an average of 150,000 passengers will arrive and leave Thailand per day, up from an average of 110,000 passengers per day in the previous quarter. This will result in a 30% increase in revenue recognition compared to the prior quarter.
