PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (SET: PTTEP) announced that the PTTEP HK Offshore Limited (Malaysia Branch) (PTTEP HKO), a subsidiary, has successfully made gas discovery at the second exploration well Paprika-1, in Malaysia SK410B project, located in offshore Malaysia.
Commenced in July 2022, the Paprika-1 exploration well was drilled to a total depth of 3,348 meters where it encountered reasonable gas pay in a clastic reservoir. PTTEP stated that it will conduct further studies in order to evaluate future development plans.
The Malaysia SK410B Project is located in the shallow waters, approximately 90 kilometers offshore Sarawak, with an area of approximately 1,870 square kilometers. The consortium consists of PTTEP HKO, KUFPEC Malaysia and PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. with participating interests of 42.5%, 42.5% and 15% respectively.
