On Thursday, B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (SET: BGRIM) announced that its 70% holding subsidiary, B.Grimm Power (AIE-MTP) Limited (BGPM2R), had begun commercial operation of a new combined-cycle cogeneration power plant with an installed capacity of 140 megawatts for the replacement of existing power plant and started supplying electricity to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) since 1 March 2023.
BGPM2R project, located in Asia Industrial Estate Map Ta Phut in Rayong province, has entered into a 25-year power purchase agreement with EGAT with contracted capacity of 30 megawatts while the remaining capacity is used for supplying electricity and steam to industrial users under the long term agreements.
BGPM2R project is the fifth power plant operated under the SPP Replacement program with higher efficiency from new technology and lower gas consumption per unit. B.Grimm Power commercially operated with a total capacity of 3,478 megawatts from total secured Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of 4,055 megawatts which are under construction and development.
