Krungsri Securities (KSS) expected Thailand’s SET Index to move within the range of 1,390-1,410 points. The analyst expected the fund outflows could pressure the investment outlook in the country despite a positive sentiment from a potential rate cut by the Bank of Thailand in the near future after two out of seven policymakers voted yesterday to cut rates.
The share price of Nvidia hit an all-time high of $702.20 on Wednesday and closed above $700 for the first time in its history. The stock is now up by more than 40% in 2024.
S&P 500 edged near the 5,000 level, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.95% yesterday to close at 15,756.64.
China’s Consumer Price Index for January dropped by 0.8% YoY, but rose by 0.3% MoM. Both numbers missed expectations from economists polled by Reuters, which were 0.5% and 0.4%, respectively.
Meanwhile, China’s Producer Price Index fell 2.5% in January from the same period last year, according to the announcement from the National Bureau of Statistics on Thursday. The data was slightly better than expectations for a 2.6% decline.
