Ratchthani Leasing Public Company Limited (SET: THANI) reported its 2023 financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

THANI reported a net profit of Baht 1,286.92 million, decreased by Baht 465.79 million or 26.58% from 2022, driven mainly by the increase of expected credit loss and higher expenses from loss on sale of repossessions from the hire purchase business as a result of the uneven economic recovery, due to high household debt and rising interest rates, weak domestic demand.
The total consolidated revenue amounted to Baht 4,597.38 million, increased by Baht 154 million or 3.46% from 2022, and interest expenses of 2023 amounted to Baht 1,171.79 million, increased by Baht 246.26 million or 26.61%. The expected credit loss amounted to Baht 1,047.73 million, an increase by Baht 492.62 million or 88.74%.
Basic earnings per share for the year 2023 equaled 0.23 baht per share, decreased from 0.31 baht per share in 2022. The return on equity (ROE) was reported at 10.28%.
Additionally, the Board of Directors approved to pay dividends in the form of the company’s ordinary shares to be issued to the shareholders of the company at the ratio of ten existing shares to one stock dividend amount to 566,302,819 shares, with a par value of Baht 1 per share, the total amount of 566,302,819 Baht or equivalent to the dividend per share of 0.10 Baht. In case any shareholder holds a fractional share after the allocation of the stock dividends, the dividends shall be paid in cash in the amount of 0.10 Baht per share.
Moreover, the Board also approved a dividend in cash payment at the rate of THB0.02 per share to be paid on 29 April 2024. The ex-dividend date is 29 February 2024.
