The Thai Royal Gazette has published an announcement for the utilization of an additional budget in 2024 for the Bangkok Administration to pay its debt to BTS Holdings Public Company Limited (SET: BTS) at the amount of 23,488,692,200 baht.
The debt payment for the aforementioned decree was for the Electrical and Mechanical Contract (E&M) of BTS Green Line’s first and second extension.
The Supreme Administrative Court is considering another claim of the Operating and Maintenance (O&M) fees at the amount of 30 billion baht that BTS claims from the Bangkok Administration.
The decree has an immediate effect after the announcement, which means that BTS could book the payment as soon as this quarter (FY4Q23 for BTS).
