AOT Reports 210% Surge in 2Q24 Earnings amid Increasing Revenue from Rising Traffic

Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (SET: AOT) has announced its 2Q24 consolidated financial statement ended 31 March 2024 through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

AOT reported a net profit of BAht 5,784 million in 2Q24, increased 210% from a net profit of Baht 1,860 million in 2Q23.

Revenue from sales or services increased by Baht 7,233 million or 65.75% as a result of an increase in aeronautical revenue of Baht 2,808 million or 50.58% and non-aeronautical revenue of Baht 4,425 million or 81.22% because of the rise in the total number of flights and passengers.

Concession revenue rose 125% to Baht 6,388 million in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, total expenses increased by Baht 2,207 million or 27.57% mainly due to higher employee benefit expenses, depreciation and amortization expenses, outsourcing expenses and repairs and maintenance.
