CKPower Public Company Limited or CKPower (SET: CKP), one of the region’s largest producers of electricity from renewables with one of the lowest carbon footprints, was recently selected by Thaipat Institute as one of the 100 companies on its ESG100 stock list (Environmental, Social and Governance) in 2024 – marking the third consecutive year (2022 – 2024) the company has achieved the feat. The 100 firms were selected from a total of 920 public companies, making the Thaipat Institute one of the most significant stock ratings in Thailand’s capital market.

Mr. Thanawat Trivisvavet, Managing Director, CKPower PLC, said, “CKPower has consistently aligned its operations with the global energy transition trends executed through our core C-K-P strategy, covering the three key aspects: Environment (C – Clean Electricity), Social (K – Kind Neighbor) and Governance and Economic (P – Partnership for Life). We have invested in and developed renewables-based power plants while building a sustainable energy foundation for Thailand and the international community. Our commitment extends to maintaining ecosystem balance and promoting good quality of life within the community and society through our engineering expertise leveraged to build innovations and initiate new projects. We extend our renewable energy know-how to youth, communities, and society. Being selected as one of the ESG100 stocks in Thaipat’s 2024 evaluation is further testament to CKPower’s consistent focus environment, community and all the stakeholders across the entire value chain.”

Mr. Woranat Piantham, Director of Thaipat Institute, said, “CKPower was included in our ESG100 group of securities and was among the eight companies in the Energy and Utilities sector to be selected from a total of 69 companies in the Stock Exchange of Thailand’s resources category. This demonstrates that the company is consistently an ESG standout, as evidenced by CKP’s sustainability scores. The ESG100 list is a source of sustainability information of public companies made available to investors who give weight to investment in socially and environmentally responsible companies.”

In 2023, CKPower’s renewables-based power plants generated over 8.5 million megawatt-hours (MWh) of clean electricity for Thailand, accounting for more than 17% of the renewable energy used in the country. Additionally, the company contributes to approximately 4.4 million tCO2e in GHG avoidance annually. Moving forward, CKPower has set growth targets to develop renewable energy and strengthen energy security foundations, aiming to support the sustainable advancement of Thailand towards a low-carbon society. This aligns with our long-term goal of supporting the achievement of net zero emissions by 2050.
