AIS discloses its operating performance for Q2 2024, revealing total revenue of Bt 51,332 million and a net profit of Bt 8,577 million. This achievement is driven by a focus on quality, delivering diverse customer services, and efficient expense management. AIS continues to aim for operational excellence and set capital expenditure (CAPEX) for the year at Bt 25,000-26,000 million. This investment targets upgrading digital infrastructure, including the 5G network, broadband internet, and digital life services, to support market growth and meet customer behavior across all segments, in line with the vision of becoming Cognitive Tech-Co.
Mobile Business: The mobile business has benefited from the growth in the tourism sector, especially during the Songkran festival, which saw an influx of international tourists experiencing Thai cultural heritage. As a result, mobile subscribers reached 45.7 million. The 5G subscribers continue to increase, with a 36% YoY growth to 10.6 million subscribers. Moreover, AIS 5G now covers over 95% of the Thailand population, leveraging the most extensive frequency spectrum holdings across low, medium, and high bands, ensuring comprehensive service.
Broadband Business: The broadband business under AIS 3BB FIBRE3 customers reached 4.9 million by the end of the quarter. The continuous revenue growth benefited from 3BB FIBRE3 revenue consolidation and the introduction of innovative broadband fiber products and services that go beyond home internet, meeting the needs of all households and businesses.
Enterprise Business: Enterprise Business grew by 14%, aligning with the digital transformation efforts of the government, business, and industrial sectors in Thailand. AIS is committed to leveraging its intelligent network capabilities and digital solutions to connect with business operations, enhancing organizational efficiency. An important strategic collaboration plan has been announced with Oracle Alloy, a global cloud infrastructure leader, to launch AIS Cloud. This will be the first Hyperscale Cloud services in Thailand, set to be available by Q1 2025.
