Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (SET: AOT) has announced its FY3Q23/24 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;
AOT reported a net profit of 4,562 million baht for the three month period ended June 30, 2024, representing an increase by 44.59% YoY. Revenue from sales or services increased by 3,450 million or 26.64% as a result of an increase in aeronautical revenue and non-aeronautical revenue amid increasing total number of flights and passengers.
For the three-month period, non-aeronautical revenue, which largely consists of concession revenue, was 8,573 million baht, increased 24.26% YoY. The increase was due to higher concession revenues of 1,628 million baht or 39% mainly due to a rise in duty-free and commercial trade.
AOT stated that overall air traffic volume from October 2023 to June 2024 was 548,514 flights, an increase of 15.51% compared to the same period of last year. Meanwhile, total number of passengers was 90.14 million, which increased by 21.17% from the same period of the prior year.
Total expenses increase by 1,905 million or 22.93% mainly due to higher employee benefit expenses, depreciation and amortization, repairs and maintenance, outsourcing expenses and others.
