DUSIT reported a net loss in 3Q24 of -538 million, a higher loss compared to THB -247 million in 3Q23 and THB -131 million in 2Q24.
Total revenue during the three-month period stood at THB 1,376 million, a decrease of 3.7% YoY. Despite revenue growth across all core businesses, the company had an unrealised foreign exchange loss, mainly from the revaluation of assets denominated in foreign currencies.
Loss on exchange rate was THB -142 million, a decrease of THB 168 million from a profit of THB 26 million in 2Q24.
The company’s performance in 3Q24 and 9M24 was impacted by the significant appreciation of the THB towards the end of the quarter, as well as higher operating expenses related to the ‘Dusit Central Park’ project.
Operating expenses for the Dusit Central Park project increased due to pre-opening expenses of Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel and higher marketing expenses for the residential project.
