During her address at the 22nd Forbes Global CEO Conference in Bangkok, Ms. Jareeporn Jarukornsakul, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Group CEO of WHA Corporation Public Company Limited (SET: WHA), discussed her company’s transformation. She detailed WHA’s journey from a pioneering logistics and warehouse operator to becoming a technology-driven company innovating in AI and energy processing.
Initially, WHA spotted the value of logistics as a primary economic driver, meeting customer demands for warehousing. Today, the company’s growth is largely driven by technology, integrating AI to monitor and forecast energy processing in its industrial estates.
As part of its innovation strategy and business expansion plans, WHA has extended its operations to Vietnam, particularly the industrial estate in Nghệ An, in response to increased demand sparked by companies relocating from China due to geopolitical tensions. One of WHA’s significant feats in Vietnam involves generating its own power energy to support its businesses. Importantly, the company’s investment decision was influenced by the relatively lower land costs in Nghệ An compared to Hanoi, Hochiminh, and its home base, Thailand.
Ms. Jarukornsakul highlighted that the company is contemplating further expansions in Vietnam, with two to three projects under consideration.
