BGRIM Initiates Major Overhaul in Organizational Structure to Drive Performance in 2025

Harald Link, CEO of B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (SET: BGRIM), revealed that the Board of Directors meeting No. 12/2024, held on 12 December 2024, resolved to appoint Thaweesak Koanantakool as a new director (Independent Director) in replacement of Katevalee Napasab, effective from 12 December 2024 onwards.

Meanwhile, the board has also resolved to appoint new executives and reorganize the corporate structure as follows:

  1. Appointing Harald Link as Group President
  2. Appointing Peradach Patanachan as Co-President – Renewable Energy Business
  3. Appointing Nopadej Karnasuta as Co-President –Thailand Business and Energy & Industrial Solutions Business
  4. Appointing Siriwong Borvornboonrutai as Co-President – Finance and Accounting, and continuing to hold the position of Chief Financial Officer
  5. Approve the change of organizational structure, effective from 1 January 2025 onwards.

Previously, Siriwong said that the company will keep its operating direction of 4Q24 and 2025 on course, along with the goal of increasing production capacity from new projects. In 4Q24, the company commenced the commercial operation of date (COD) of its Utapao solar power plant phase 1, which has an installed capacity of 18 megawatts, and the KOPOS land wind farm, which has an installed capacity of 20 megawatts, in the Republic of Korea (South Korea).

In 2025, Thailand’s economy is expected to grow by 2.9%, driven by tourism, increased public consumption from economic stimulus measures, and improved exports from demand for electronic products. Meanwhile, natural gas price per unit for SPP next year is on average of THB 310-340 per one million btu, a decrease compared to 2024 an average of THB 320-350 per one million btu. Furthermore, BGRIM is also eyeing new industry customers that will connect to the system for around 40-50 megawatts.

As for the projects under construction and would be COD in 2025, such as INSEE B.Grimm Solar Co., Ltd.’s 80 megawatt solar power plant project, which is a collaboration between BGRIM and Siam City Cement PCL (SET: SCCC), is expected to have its first phase finish in 3Q2025.

Meanwhile, there are also the solar rooftop project with production capacity of 35 megawatt that would be install on the roof of Zhongce Rubber (Thailand) Co., Ltd.,’s factory in Amata City Rayong Industrial Estate, the 29.6 megawatt 386 solar rooftop project, and Nakwol coastal wind farm project with capacity of 365 megawatt that are expected to commerce the operation in 2025 as well.

Currently, BGRIM’s long-term goal is to increase capacity to 10,000 megawatts in 2030.
