CP Foods Partners with Thai Zoo to Launch CP-Moodeng Muay Thai Shorts to Support Society

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (SET: CPF) has partnered with the Zoological Park Organization of Thailand and renowned Muay Thai champion Buakaw Banchamek to launch the “CPxMOODENG Limited Edition” Muay Thai shorts. This charitable initiative combines two beloved Thai cultural elements: the ancient martial art of Muay Thai and Moo Deng, the popular pygmy hippo residing at Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chonburi province. Proceeds from these special-edition shorts will be donated to the “Moo Deng Invites You to Help Flood Victims and Ensure Animal Welfare” campaign for providing aids to society, with a focus on flood relief efforts and animal welfare programs.

Attapon Srihayrun, Director of the Zoological Park Organisation of Thailand (ZPO), noted that Moo Deng and Muay Thai shorts stand out for their creativity and authenticity, and we anticipate strong interest from both Thai and international consumers,” he said. “This collaboration helps raise crucial funds for flood relief and animal welfare, strengthening our ability to help those in need.”

Anarkawee Chooratn, CEO of CPF’s Corporate Marketing, said that the company is pleased to participate in this charity initiative, which showcases Thailand’s soft power to the world. We receive the support from Buakaw Banchamek, notable Muay Thai athlete, to promote this product. This move aligns with CPF’s philosophy of promoting Thai identity while striving to be the “Kitchen of the World,” exporting Thai food under the CP brand to over 50 countries worldwide to support global health and wellbeing.

The official launch of “CPxMOODENG Limited Edition” Muay Thai shorts took place on December 8, 2024, at Khao Kheow Open Zoo. The event featured a lively auction of a one-of-a-kind, specially numbered pair of boxing shorts, broadcast online for pre-registered participants, resulting in impressive audience engagement. A cultural performance blending Muay Thai dance with “deng” movement and appearances by special guests drew significant public attention, generating first-day sales and auction proceeds totaling 1,394,377 million Baht.

Following this success, the CPxMOODENG Limited-Edition Thai Boxing Shorts (available in sizes S, M, and L at 899 Baht each) can be purchased through official sales channels of Khao Kheow Open Zoo and the Zoological Park Organization of Thailand. Availability is limited.
