Precious Shipping Public Company Limited (SET: PSL), has notified the Stock Exchange of Thailand of the disposal of one Handysize Bulk Carrier, viz. M.V. Rojarek Naree by Precious Jasmines Limited, a wholly-owned Thai subsidiary of the company.
Precious Jasmines has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the buyer on 12 December 2024. The vessel was sold at a price of USD 8.8 million and is scheduled to be delivered within 15 February and 15 March.
The ship, a 29,870 deadweight tonnes bulk carrier M.V. Rojarek Naree is scheduled to be sold as part of the company’s strategy to rejuvenate its fleet by selling its older vessels and acquiring newer and bigger vessels.
After the disposal of the vessel and the inclusion of four vessels ordered for construction (as disclosed recently) but not yet delivered, the Company’s fleet will consist of 43 vessels with an aggregate capacity of about 1,961,634 DWT.
