Bankruptcy Court Affirms Thai Airways’ Rehabilitation Plan and Rejects Proposal for Additional Administrators

The Central Bankruptcy Court has rejected the proposal to amend Thai Airways International Public Company Limited’s (SET: THAI) rehabilitation plan, as originally resolved in the creditors’ meeting on November 29, 2567.

This ruling grants the rehabilitation plan administrators the authority to reduce the registered capital by decreasing the par value of shares to offset accumulated losses. The payment of dividends to shareholders also falls under the purview of the plan administrators without affecting creditor rights.

Moreover, the court deemed it unnecessary to add more administrators to the plan, asserting that it might cause delays and increase expenses, with each additional administrator being paid 5 million baht per year. The current team of three administrators has been managing the rehabilitation plan effectively.
