Gunkul Engineering Public Company Limited (SET: GUNKUL) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that Future Electrical Control Company Limited (FEC), a subsidiary of the Company, in joint venture with China National Heavy Machinery Corporation (CHMC), has been awarded a project by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) for the construction of a 500 kV high-voltage transmission line. The project spans approximately 37 kilometers, connecting the Bang Lamung 2 High-Voltage Substation to the Pluak Daeng High-Voltage Substation.
This project will be executed under the Joint Venture of China National Heavy Machinery Corporation & Future Electrical Control Company Limited and has a total contract value of THB 622,039,015.72 (inclusive of VAT) or $1,523,155.70. The scope of work encompasses the complete procurement of both domestic and international equipment, as well as transportation and installation.
The project is scheduled for completion within 21 months as stipulated in the contract. Its objective is to enhance energy security in the region, addressing the increasing demand for electricity driven by industrial expansion in the Eastern region.
This marks a significant achievement for GUNKUL as it is the first time the company has been entrusted by EGAT to undertake a project of this scale. This accomplishment underscores the trust placed in the company’s capabilities and expertise in executing advanced energy infrastructure projects. Moreover, it strengthens the company’s credibility as a leader in the energy industry, enhances its competitive advantage, and supports its sustainable growth in the future.
