AMATA Expects Record Land Sales in 2025 with Boost from Chinese Relocation

Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AMATA Corporation Public Company Limited (SET: AMATA), revealed that land sales in 2025 are expected to exceed those in 2024, which surpassed 2,500 rai. The primary drivers of this growth are anticipated to be Chinese investors, who are increasingly relocating their production bases to Thailand. There is speculation that this wave of relocation will be the largest in history, and AMATA has been actively preparing for continuous land expansion to accommodate this demand.

On February 3, 2025, AMATA collaborated with other five government agencies, such as the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Commerce, the Board of Investment (BOI), the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), and the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), to officially opened the Government All-Service Center at AMATA City Chonburi Industrial Estate, aiming to enhance service convenience for investors.

This industrial estate is the first to establish such a center, which seeks to improve comprehensive services for both domestic and foreign investors, streamline the process for obtaining various licenses, and reduce obstacles. These facilitations will boost investment confidence in the EEC area and attract investors to one of Thailand’s key production bases.

Mr. Vikrom stated that the establishment of this center is a critical mechanism to support investment, as investment in the eastern region is vital to the nation’s economy, both in terms of imports and exports. This marks the area as a key production base in the region. Therefore, the application process for various license services must be adjusted to align with the competitive landscape while preserving the country’s competitive edge.

In addition to increasing business operation efficiency, the Government All-Service Center at AMATA City Chonburi Industrial Estate also plays a key role in driving investment and fostering sustainable economic development. This collaboration between the government and the private sector aims to enhance confidence in the approval and permitting processes, ensuring efficient services that contribute to the country’s development in an era that demands convenience, speed, and modernity.

Mr. Akanat Promphan, Minister of Industry, revealed that since the Government All-Service Center helps enhance service facilitation for both domestic and international investors, the center can be considered a vital tool and mechanism to drive investment, ensuring readiness in all aspects.

The center also supports the Ministry of Industry’s mission under the “Industrial Reform to the New Economy” policy, which seeks to make Thailand’s economy cleaner, more convenient, and transparent. This is a significant step in providing services to entrepreneurs and citizens who interact with government agencies in the Chonburi investment area.

Mr. Akanat also stated that the collaboration between the government and the private sector will enhance services for entrepreneurs by efficiently reducing the time spent with government agencies at each step, making the process faster.

This will boost investors’ confidence in entering the EEC for investment, which will positively impact the manufacturing sector by establishing a more flexible management system for interacting with government agencies. The process used to be lengthy, causing entrepreneurs to lose valuable investment opportunities.

Mr. Pansa Chaichan, AMATA’s Manager of Government Coordination and Legal Affairs, revealed that the management approach of the Government All-Service Center will focus on providing services and supporting various activities set by both entrepreneurs and the public to align with the “All Win” philosophy, which is AMATA’s business approach.

Mr. Pansa stated that the center is ready to provide services through six main agencies. In the future, AMATA plans to expand its service offerings by inviting government agencies, educational institutions, and organizations that play a significant role in society to provide services within the AMATA Industrial Estate. This will enhance the potential to facilitate both the business sector and the public more comprehensively and efficiently.

Nevertheless, AMATA City Chonburi Industrial Estate is considered a key economic hub, with over 1,500 entrepreneurs operating in the area. This marks the beginning of a service initiative focused on facilitating the industrial sector, while also attracting new investors who recognize AMATA’s potential. This will help position the area as a strong future center for business and industry.
